Your Vitalhotel for Allgäu's favourite spots

Füssen - Bad Faulenbach

a walkers' paradise

Whether it be an extended walk, a hike from mountain hut to mountain hut, or perhaps the peaks are your goal, opportunities in Allgäuer Königswinkel are inexhaustable.

Well known routes like the 'European long-distance walking track', the 'Via Claudia' or the 'Ostallgäuer Höhenweg', take you through the Füssener country side. Mountain fans can look forward to the Ammer mountain ranges, one of the largest protected nature areas in Germany, as well as the peaks and the high tracks of the Lechtaler and Tannheimer Alps. In and around the village of Füssen there are 200 km of well kept and signposted walking tracks and many rustic, cosy huts with specialities of  the region.

Vitalhotel Wiedemann boasts quality awards for walkers' hospitality.

We provide maps, tour tips, weather information, packed lunches on request, a healthy and regional kitchen and - if necessary - a blister plaster.

Walking in the valley of the senses

In the "Valley of the senses" you can transform your walk into an experience of all five senses: practice your balancing skills on the balance path, get close to nature on the barefoot path or refresh yourself in the Kneipp pool with cold spring water. Get to know nature from a different perspective. Accompanying you on your way is a magnificent view over the lakes, the wonderful scents from the herb garden and magical birdsong.

Valley of the senses - Saloberalm circuit

Take the Kobel track past  Mitter- and Obersee lakes to the idyllic Alatsee lake, then a steep ascent up to the Saloberalm (approx. 1,5 hours).

... and for something special:  Crime Story Seegrund

Following Commissar Kluftinger's steps, the route takes you to Alatsee lake. Spiced with tales and legends based on the bestseller crime story "Seegrund" by autors Volker Klüpfel and Michael Kobr. Return route is a guided evening torch lit walk (weather permitting).

The Lech track - from the spring to the falls.
